Our Board Members
Our ConcertoHealth board members have the expertise and experience to help guide our execution toward company goals and mission. They provide industry leadership and visioning to ConcertoHealth and serve as active thought partners committed to helping patients, communities, and partners.
Since the sale of First Health in 2005, Wristen has been a private investor and involved in eleemosynary activities. Wristen has been a Director of Concerto and its predecessor, Fidelis SeniorCare since 2009. In 2007, Wristen participated in the private equity led purchase with CIC Partners of OmniSYS, Inc. Wristen served as chairman, director and an advisor to the company.
As a Partner on the Healthcare Services team at Deerfield, Leslie works with a variety of healthcare services and healthcare information technology companies that are both current and potential investment partners. Before joining Deerfield in 2005, Leslie was co-manager of an ING branded healthcare hedge fund she launched in 2000. Prior to that she spent eleven years in the investment banking, high yield research and equity research departments at Furman Selz and ING, where she focused exclusively on companies in the healthcare arena.
Mark Smith is currently a Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of California at San Francisco. From 2015-2019 He co-chaired the Guiding Committee of the Health Care Payment Learning and Action Network for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
From 1996 through 2013 Dr. Smith was the Founding President and CEO of the California HealthCare Foundation, which he led from its formation. An independent endowed philanthropy in Oakland, California, the Foundation began operations with $500 million in assets, and made $650 million in charitable grants under his leadership.
Tim Petersen is a Managing Partner at Arboretum Ventures, a healthcare venture capital firm that he co-founded in 2002. Tim focuses on transformative opportunities that disrupt healthcare sectors starved of technology or business model innovation. His investments span a variety of healthcare sectors, including healthcare information technology, medical device, and research instrumentation companies. He also led or co-led the initial venture capital investment into Advanced ICU Care, now the nation's largest provider of tele-ICU solutions, and Accuri Cytometers, which revolutionized the billion-dollar flow cytometry sector. Other public and exited investments include SI-Bone (Nasdaq: SIBN) and behavioral health technology company HealthMedia, which was sold to Johnson & Johnson.
